Ultrafast spin, charge, and phonon dynamics studied using femtosecond optical pump-probe techniques. Brillouin light-scattering spectro-microscopy of spin-wave dispersion and propagation in advanced magnetic structures and devices. Broadband and spin-torque ferromagnetic resonance investigations of spin waves and pure spin current. Magnonics: from conventional approaches to hybrid and quantum magnonic systems. Spin-orbitronics: pure spin currents, spin Hall effect, spin pumping, Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction, and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. Spintronics with quantum materials. Magnetic straintronics. Spin-texture-driven magnonics and spintronics, including magnetic domain walls, vortices, skyrmions, and artificial spin ice. THz time-domain spectroscopy of thin films and nanostructures. Dielectric relaxation spectroscopy of binary mixtures. Coherent control of ultrafast processes via optical pulse shaping.
